Bari Basics — Learning Hub for Web Programming Tutorials, Videos and Live Classes — Update 1

This is a post to announce that I have setup a web programming learning program of my own. This is something that I have been working in one from or another for over 8 years.

Note — If you are looking to join these classes and know more about this, just add me on Discord — Jay_HisManyHobbies#6392.

Yet, I never got around to doing it the right away. There were any number of false starts (this could also be one), but this effort, the latest one, has been going for over 10 months now. I have sufficient content ready to share with online learners, and hence this post.

I have setup a ‘LEARNING HQ’, at this link. It is the main hub where everything I have built is already linked and available.

As of now, I am planning a weekly cycle, which is something like this.

  1. Add a new chapter to the online textbook.
  2. Record a video for that new chapter.
  3. Conduct an online live class for that chapter
  4. Repeat until all topics are exhausted.

So, that is the plan.

Using a combination of Twitch, Two Macs, One PC, I have setup an online classroom in my home office. Twitch has an option to setup schedule and notify subscribers who are following. I like this system because, it is easy to manage and does not cost any money.

Further, I plan to add events on LinkedIn corresponding to each live class. I believe, LinkedIn is the place where there may be a lot of people who might be looking to learn things. I could be wrong, but as of now, I don’t know where I can spread the word about my online classes.
