Cancelled GitHub CoPilot. Purchased Microsoft CoPilot Pro.

the purchase was smooth.

Yes, the microsoft branding of its AI products is confusing. But then again, what else can you expect from a company that is always confusing its customers.

Right then. This week, Microsoft made available it’s general purpose CoPilot AI assistant. It’s been rolling out slowly all over the world, and now, the Pro subscription is available in India too.

Now, I am already a customer of Microsoft’s AI products.

GitHub CoPilot — 8 Months Later — Love this thing.

However, a quick look at my own professional and personal activities, with each passing month and year, I am leaning more into the management and creative side of business.

Technology still drives most of my earnings, but, the management and creative pursuits are the future of my earnings.

So, when this CoPilot Pro became available, I figured, that is what I really need. It’s twice as expensive, but, I am very curious about the AI image generation capabilities and in general see what else AI can do to enhance my life.

and I also use plenty of Microsoft products (Office 365, Office Email, Azure), so, it might be worth my time. I can always cancel and re-subscribe as needed.

So, first step, with a heavy heart, had to say goodbye to GitHub CoPilot.

so, this is what it looks.

Then signing up for the CoPilot Pro. Now, as I have written many times before, signing up for online services in India, is a little tricky.

Fortunately, looks like Microsoft has done it’s homework. the process works just fine.

okay. so, the flow is implemented as per RBI rules

hey! it works.

Almost immediately, I headed over to the copilot page, and started doing some image generation.

The images seem to be of higher quality. and widescreen.

So, there you go. I have already installed the apps on the iPad. And, the GitHub CoPilot thing is a loss.

However, code generation still works here (but less conveninent than GitHub CoPilot, I must confess)

code generation definitely works.

Microsoft says, the subscription gives me priority access, which makes sense. things seem to work faster compared all these months when I was using the Bing AI and Image Creator with the free version.

So, let’s see what happens next.
