Switch Off that annoying AI completion in Visual Studio 2022
Help is good. Still, sometimes, I want to be on my own, driven by instinct.
I am a big fan of AI. Like seriously. It helps me work faster. Is already helping me make more money as a freelancer. I expect it to make my life better, sure. Yes, that new-ish IntelliSense code completion with AI help is kind of annoying. Let’s turn it off.
Lately, I am trying to sharpen by ‘coding test’ skills with help from sites like LeetCode.

and I figured, this ‘AI’ assisted code completion (it only works one line at a time. for the full completion you need to buy the Pro subscription) might be considered ‘cheating’. So, I decided to do some investigation on how to turn it off.
I found help, as usual, on stack overflow (or may be I should have asked Microsoft’s own Copilot AI, he he :P)
and this is how it looks before and after.
And, that’s all there is to it.
