Take The Stack Overflow Developer Survey — Coding Tutor Advises
Once again, stack overflow reminded me that there is the annual developer survey.
Every year since I started using stack overflow years ago, I look forward to the survey. It’s fairly long and detailed, but, it’s worth going through it for a number of reasons.
Find the survey, here.
One, I get to see where I stand. I remember, the very first survey, I could barely recognize the many questions and options and answers in the survey. For the last few years, I have become a real professional, and almost every tech mentioned in the survey is either something that I have worked on, or, known to me.
Two, I learn new skills and technologies that I should be looking for in the next year. I have learnt many new things (not these days, but, in my early days of career) that I learnt for the future, and it helped me make a lot of money.
Three, stack overflow has helped me earn thousands of dollars. I was born and raised in poverty. These days, I have a pleasant 20 hour work week, use expensive Apple Products and live a mostly luxurious life filled with plenty of food, sleep and entertainment.
More importantly, I work as a full time remote work from home freelancer, who does not have to work in a office. I absolutely hate office life, and god willing, I will die without every stepping into another office.
I am sure, this would have been difficult without stack overflow. So, thank you stack overflow.
Ultimately, if you are a student or just starting your career, you should take the survey. It’s a very learning experience.
I work as a full time freelance coding tutor. Hire me at UpWork or Fiverr or Stack Overflow. My personal website is here. Find more of my art at Behance and Unsplash. Also, I have a Podcast about everyday life. And, a 2nd Podcast, where I talk about freelancing.
